When Grace Takes Over
Our text is from Romans 5:20. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound…
Thank God for grace! It is something that we take for granted but it is present with us everyday of our lives. It is by grace that we have been saved according to Ephesians 2:8. It is grace that is greater than all our sin according to our text. It is through grace that relieves us of fear. It is grace that keeps us singing. It is grace that that keeps us going. It is grace that keeps God blessing us even-though we don’t deserve it. And… It is grace that will keep us safe even if we lose our memories or lose our consciousness.
It is comforting to know that when we are saved, going to Heaven doesn’t count on our memories or acts. There may come a time when we maybe mentally handicapped or in some kind of sedated state or in a coma and it is assuring to know that is when grace takes over and will take us home.
A verse in the great song, Amazing Grace says, Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come ‘Tis Grace has brought me safe thus far And Grace will lead me home.
May God help you to love and appreciate the wonderful grace of the Lord that will take you home.
