Our text will come from John 8 verse 32. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Verse 36. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
In our text Jesus is being challenged on his true identity.
He tells the audience that the truth will make you free and then later in our text he tells them that he could make you free implying that he and the truth are synonymous. They are. In John 14:6 he says… I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
So if any one wants to have true liberty they will find it in Jesus Christ. He is the one that can cleanse your sin and he is the one that can take away your guilty conscience and free you’re from your sins.
Then you will have peace with God and peace in your heart knowing that your sins are gone, past, present, and future, and you will go to Heaven when you die.
That is true Liberty.
