Some Things You Don't Have To Pray About
Our text will come from 1 John 3:22. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
Most people or should I say most Christians want to please the Lord or would like for the Lord to be pleased with their life. For many doubtful things that come along we need to be on prayer ground to seek the Lord’s wisdom about that particular thing and then find out what the word of God has to say about the subject.
But then there are some things that we don’t need to pray about because the word of God is very clear about them. On these things you won’t have to waste your time praying about. There are plenty of other things to spend time in prayer about.
Here are some things that are clear in the word of God and that don’t need any praying about.
Give thanks for everything. 1st Thess. 5:8. I didn’t say these things would be easy.
No fornicating, that is, keeping clean. 1st Thess. 4:3
Obeying authority. 1st Peter 2:13-15, 17. You think authority is bad now? Check out the one that was present at the time of the writing of this scripture.
Don’t live after the flesh. 1st Peter 4:2. This is common sense and it will keep you out of trouble in more ways than one.
These things are the direct will of God and there are no doubts about these things. If you will be aware of these things and put them into practice you will save yourself a lot of trouble.
May God help you to pray for the things that you are not sure about; not the things that you are sure about.
