How to Prosper

Our text is from 2nd Chronicles 26:5. And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.

This text is about a king of Judah named Uzziah who was a good king. It was said of him in verse 4 that ‘he did that which was right’ not in the people’s eyes but in the Lord’s eyes. Then our text says that as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.

So many times we make the mistake of seeking other sources of info rather than God and His word to make our decisions in life. If we would ask God to help us and to lead us in our daily lives our way would be a lot more prosperous. Many times the Bible will speak to us but we don’t take time to read it. It’s always anything but the Bible isn’t it? Perhaps that’s why you are having difficulties. If you want to prosper, seek the Lord, not just in the big or disastrous things, but in the little things. Remember, a lot of little things added together could equal a big thing. By the way, I expect God to be there in the big things but it is the little things that I enjoy seeing God get involved in.

Seek the Lord. You will be glad you did.
