He Didn't Know What He Was Talking About
Our text is from Deuteronomy 16:2 Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.
Over and over in the book of Deuteronomy the Lord tells Moses and the children of Israel that one day there will be a specific place where they are to worship and sacrifice. It would be a place where God would put His name there.
But Moses never finds out where the place is. It is not revealed till years later during the time of David, the king. But Moses just kept on trusting God and writing about it. He did not know concerning this place, what he was writing about or talking about. I’m sure he must have wondered where this place would be, but in the mean time he just trusted God for all things and knew that at the right time it would be revealed and the place would be instituted. Not knowing didn’t stop him from writing about it or speaking about it.
You may know some things are going to happen in the future. You may not know the time or the details, but don’t let that cause your faith to falter. If the word of God says so just keep on trusting The Lord Jesus Christ. It will come to pass, at the right time.
Remember, it’s not His Word we should doubt but it’s ours that is doubtful at times, isn’t it?
