God Is Not Through With You Yet
Our text is from Exodus 7:7 And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.
So———— Moses was 80 years old when he was called to serve the Lord. He had spent 40 years on the backside of the desert living not in the palaces of Egypt, but in the lowly tents of shepherds and herdsmen. You might say he took a step backwards to the bare necessities of life. Dad would say that he was roughing it.
One day while he was being faithful at doing what he could, God called him from out of the burning bush. God had told him to go to Egypt to tell the king to let his people go. He answered the call. Why did God choose Moses? He was not lazy and he was busy serving in the capacity that he could. That’s who God can use. Not those that don’t want to do anything for others or themselves.
You might think that 80 years old is a little late to get started but when God is in it he will always bless. (Study Matthew 20:1-16)
Now days most Christians are just not available for God’s service. They are too busy to serve the Lord because they are serving themselves. Remember that whatever your age or status, God can use you but you have to avail yourself. The Lord can and will use anyone he can get his hands on. He just needs those that have willingness and a want to. He will supply the way, the strength, the wisdom, and the ability for your service. He also will supply the joy, blessing, and rewards that comes from the service.
You might think that you are all thru with serving the Lord perhaps because of your age or health status, but as long as you are alive and as long as you are not through with God, God is not through with you.
When he is done with you he will call you home.
So that means as long as you are alive, you have time to do something for God. If nothing else, you can pray for others because they need it. I need it. We all need prayer and we can use someone that will have our back in the Lord’s battle.
Little is Much
1. In the harvest field now ripened, There’s a work for all to do. Hark, the voice of God is calling, To the harvest calling you.
CHORUS: Little is much when God is in it. Labor not for wealth or fame. There’s a crown and you can win it, If you go in Jesus’ name.
2. Does the place you’re called to labor Seem so small and little known? It is great if God is in it, And He’ll not forget His own.
3. When the conflict here is ended And our race on earth is run, He will say, if we are faithful, “Welcome home, my child, well done.”
Don’t ever forget this verse.
1st Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
THE LORD IS…NOW HIRING.
ARE YOU AVAILABLE?
