A Place For Me

My text will come from John 14:2-3. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Here in this passage our Lord will soon be betrayed into the hands of the authorities to be crucified. He came to die and pay for our sins. Now he gives some final words of encouragement and comfort. He tells his disciples that he will prepare a place for them and that he would come back one day to take them to their home.

What great comfort in knowing that I have a place that is now prepared for me and is waiting for me.

It is prepared just for me.

It will be designed just for my liking and taste.

It will be clean and sinless.

Praise God! Jesus will be there and all my loved ones that have been saved.

What a wonderful and grand reunion we will have.

It’s no wonder that John said “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

It’s very much like making reservations ahead of time for a vacation. We look forward to it for months and then the day arrives that we pack up and go. What a great day that is!

Friend I have made reservations for my place in Heaven by trusting in Jesus Christ alone so now my place is ready and waiting for my arrival.

Thank God there is a place for me.

Reader, have you made reservations for your place in Heaven?

If not, why don’t you call on Jesus to save you from your sins so there will be a place prepared for you too?

Rooms are going fast so make reservations today!
